After Birth: Recover properly, Bond Deeper & Start With the Right Foundation

The first weeks after birth are often misunderstood.
Your body is healing.
Your emotions shift by the hour.
Your baby depends on you for everything.
And somehow you’re expected to know what to do.

This is exactly why preparation is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

What you truly need is clarity on the basics: the things every parent deserves to know before their baby is born. In this session you will learn how to support your own recovery, understand your baby’s signals, create a secure bond, and build the foundation for healthy sleep without training, stress, or forcing anything that doesn’t feel right.

Whether this is your first baby or your third, this session will change the way you step into parenthood.
Parents often tell me they walk out feeling completely shifted as if someone turned the lights on in a room they didn’t even know was dark.

Your whole perspective changes: what truly matters, what your baby needs, and what your role really is.

This isn’t just knowledge, it’s a new lens.
Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
And it transforms the way you parent from day one.

This session changed everything. I finally understood what was normal, what my baby needed, and how to support my own healing. I wish every mother had this knowledge.”

Sanne , 32

“With my first baby I was constantly surviving. With my second, I followed Melanie's session and wow. I felt stronger, calmer, more connected. Especially the attachment & sleep part gave me so much clarity. It finally felt like parenting made sense.”

Maaike, 28

“After my C-section, I was full of questions. What surprised me the most was how much I could actually do for my own recovery, even in those early days. The tips Melanie gave were simple, practical and so easy to apply, and they made a huge difference. I healed faster, felt stronger, and finally understood what my body needed.”

What will you learn during the session?

The fourth trimester is one of the most overlooked phases of parenthood, even though it is the foundation of your baby’s emotional, physical, and neurological development.

In this online session, I guide you through what truly matters in those first, formative weeks:

How recovery works (and why pushing through slows everything down)

How to support your nervous system so your baby can regulate through you

How attachment shapes sleep, behaviour, emotions, and long-term development

How to read your baby’s signals so you respond with confidence instead of doubt

How sleep naturally emerges when connection and recovery are in place

I believe a soft landing begins before your baby is born.
When you prepare, you prevent.
When you understand, you relax.
When you slow down, your baby settles.

Is this you?

You feel unprepared for the first weeks after birth

You want to understand what those first weeks with your baby will really look like, beyond the clichés

You want to know how you can support your recovery instead of hoping it “goes well”

You want clarity on crying: what it communicates, why babies cry, and why your goal is not to stop it

You want to step into parenthood with confidence, instead of guessing your way through those first fragile weeks

You’re not alone.

Most parents feel this way, simply because nobody prepared them for the reality of the fourth trimester.

Because no one truly prepares you for the fourth trimester. Yet those first weeks are absolutely defining for your physical and emotional recovery, for how safe and secure your baby feels, and for the strong foundation you build together for the future.

Online Session: Step by Step to Recovery, Attachment & Sleep

Yes, I want to have a calm and supported postpartum experience!

My Focus: Prevention & True Postpartum Care

My focus is on prevention. Not by giving loose tips, but by showing parents how recovery, bonding and sleep are deeply connected. Healthy sleep doesn’t come from schedules or tricks; it naturally emerges when a parent’s body has the chance to heal and a baby feels safe and deeply connected.

When our son was born 11 years ago, I began to realise how big the topic of “baby sleep” truly was. So many parents were struggling, while I kept feeling more and more strongly: sleep isn’t the real problem, it’s a consequence. The foundation is built in those first vulnerable weeks, in how we recover, how we handle emotions, and how we respond to our baby’s signals.

Through studies, books, and my own experiences, I discovered how essential a holistic approach truly is. Attachment, recovery, and sleep are not separate topics they are pillars that strengthen one another. It still amazes me that this isn’t a natural part of preparing for parenthood, when this is exactly where the difference lies between merely surviving or genuinely enjoying and growing together.

This insight inspired me to share my knowledge, so parents can have clarity and guidance from the very beginning. Not only to prevent sleep challenges, but above all to build a strong, healthy foundation for their children and for themselves as parents.
